2007-08 Indoors: Continued to prove he was one of the best shot putters in Jasper history and in the collegiate ranks... finished 3rd at NCAA Indoor National Championships, setting a school record and best with a toss of 19.64m... was named an All-American for the third time... won his third consecutive IC4A shot put championship, leading team an overall fourth place finish in the prestigious IC4A meet... defended his MAAC Indoor Championship shot put crown with a mark of 18.92m... posted a mark of 19.47m to win the Metropolitan Championships... threw 18.94m to win the IC4A Indoor Championships and a 19.11 to take first place at the Fordham Invitational
2007 Outdoors: Solidified his position as one of the best shot putters in Jasper history... named an NCAA Outdoor All-American in the shot put, taking third at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (6/9) in that event with a toss of 19.65m after taking first place about two weeks prior at the NCAA East Regional Outdoor Championships (5/25) with a toss of 19.72m... took first place at the IC4A Outdoor Championships (5/14) with toss of 19.39m... captured gold medals in the MAAC Outdoor Championships (5/5-5/6) in both the shot put (with a toss of 19.6m) and the discus (with a throw of 47.58)... was second in the Penn Relays (4/28) in the shot put with a toss of 18.64... captured a first in the shot at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships with a toss of 18.78m; also took third in this meet in the discuss with a throw of 45.36m
2006-07 Indoors: Was named an NCAA Indoor All-American by capturing fourth place at the NCAA Indoor Championships (3/10) with a personal record toss of 19.56 in shot put... this came after a first place finish in shot put at the IC4A Indoor Championships (3/3) with toss of 19.07...also took first place in shot at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships (1/26) with a put of 18.96...and he took first at Fordham Invitational in shot (1/5) with toss of 17.55.
2006 Outdoors: Continued to reach new heights after a record-breaking indoor season... his season included a new school record, a return trip to the NCAA Championships, his first IC4A Outdoor title, and a successful defense of his MAAC title... threw his way to the NCAA Championships in Sacramento for the second consecutive year as he earned an automatic bid by placing fifth in the shot at the NCAA East Region Championships (5/27) with a mark of 18.57m... in Sacramento (6/7), he qualified for the final round, placing 11th in the nation with a top mark of 18.66m... captured the IC4A title (5/14) by beating out All-American Derek Anderson of Northeastern University with a throw of 19.04m... broke his own outdoor school record and set a new meet record by tossing the shot 19.30m at the MAAC Championships (5/6)... finished first at the Metropolitan Championships (4/21) with a top throw of 18.51m... posted a mark of 18.58m to finish third at the Penn Relays (4/27).
2005-06 Indoors: Followed up his impressive rookie campaign with the best indoor season of any shot putter in program history... in addition to setting the new school record, he made his first trip to the NCAA Indoor Championships and earned All-American honors while competing there, captured his first IC4A title, and repeated as MAAC champ... placed eighth at the NCAA Championships (3/10) with a mark of 18.65m to earn All-American status... captured the crown at the Metropolitan Championships (2/5) with a throw of 19.14m... repeated as the MAAC Champion en route to setting a new meet and program record of 19.28m at the conference championships (2/17)... posted his best mark of the record-breaking season with a throw of 19.42m to claim Gold at the IC4A Championships (3/6)... broke former Jasper Tony Harlan’s school record at the Jasper Relays (1/27) with a winning throw of 18.55m, a mark he would eclipse five more times during the season.
2005 Outdoors: Earned a trip to the NCAA Championships in Sacramento with his third place finish in the east region, as he threw 19.21m... in his first outdoor collegiate meet, he finished second in the shot put at the Baldy Castillo (3/19/05) with a heave of 18.79m... the freshman went on to post a second place finish in the shot (18.56m) at the IC4A Championships (5/15/05)... at the MAAC Championships (5/7/05), he captured the shot put title and posted a new meet record with his throw of 18.84m... his mark shattered the old MAAC record, which was held by former Jasper Christer Hagberg, by 2.5 meters... captured the Metropolitan Championship (4/16/05) in the shot with a throw of 18.58m... also posted a second place finish in the discus (45.62m) at the Mets... earned a fifth place in the shot put at the prestigious Penn Relays (5/2/05) with a heave of 18.65m.
2004-05 Indoors: Burst onto the scene in his first collegiate season by capturing the MAAC Championship (2/18/05) in the shot put with a meet record-shattering throw of 18.10m... had to settle for second place at the Metropolitan Championships (1/3/0/05) with a heave of 17.79m... his throw of 18.45m took third place in the shot put at the IC4A Championships (3/5/05)... at the Penn State Challenge Cup (2/11/05), he captured second in the shot put with his mark of 18.31m.
Before Manhattan: Became a well-established shot putter in the international arena prior to his arrival in Riverdale... he began competing for the Serbian Junior National Team as a 16 year old was the 2002 and 2003 Serbia-Montenegro Junior Champion... captured the title at the 2002 Serbian Cup by tossing the 6kg shot 18.63m... at the 2003 Serbian Cup, he drastically improved on that mark with his heave of 20.69m, which still stands as a Serbian record and at second-best in the world by a junior... only five junior athletes in history recorded throws of over 20.50m with the 6kg shot... he also won the individual titles at the Balkanic Championships in both 2002 and 2003... at the 2002 Games in Istanbul, Turkey, he took first with a throw of 18.40m... in 2003 in Kostanca. Romania, he won the title by recording a mark of 19.01m... at the 2003 Cup of European Champions in Kopar, Slovania, he captured first place with a toss of 19.47m, setting a new meet and venue record... took fourth place at the 2003 European Championships in Tampere, Finland with a mark of 19.67m... at a 2003 open meet in Budapest, Hungary, he set the Serbian national indoor record with a heave of 19.67m, which at the time was also the second-best throw in the world... bested that national record at the 2003 Serbian National Championships by taking the title with a toss of 19.77m... competing at the 2001 Cup of European Champions in Maribor, Slovania, he took second place by throwing the 7.26kg shot 15.90m... he represented Serbia-Montenegro at the 2001 Young Junior World Championships in Debrecin, Hungary, qualifying for the finals and breaking a national record with a throw of 18.90m... won his first national championship in 2000 with a throw of 17.98m... followed up that feat by repeating as the national champ in 2001 by tossing the 5kg shot 18.83m, a national record for a 17 year old.
