2006 Cross Country: Emerged as one of the team’s top three harriers... finished 12th overall, and second on the team, at the MAAC Championships (10/27) by posting an 8K time 26:11.7... was the second Jasper finisher at the NCAA Northeast Region Championships (11/11).
2006 Outdoor: Captured the 5K crown at the Metropolitan Championships (4/21) by clocking in at 15:23.24... scored at the MAAC Championships (5/6) with a sixth place showing in the 10000m run... ran the 5000m run at Princeton’s Sam Howell Invitational (4/7).
2005-06 Indoor: Scored in the 3000m run at the MAAC Championships (2/17), finishing sixth overall... competed in the 1500m run at the Armory’s Thursday Night at the Races (1/26)... ran his best 3K time of the season (8:52.23) at the Fordham Invitational (1/6) to qualify for the Metropolitan Championships (2/5), where he would again compete in the event.
2005 Cross Country: Scored at the MAAC Championships, Metropolitan Championships, and IC4A Meet... at the Mets (10/7/05), he logged a 49th place finish, running a 28:07.8... at the MAAC’s (10/28/05), he was the squad’s third finisher, 16th overall (26:31.5)... at the IC4A (11/19/05), he was 55th overall at 27:20.7... opened the season at Sunken Meadow Park in the Stony Brook Invitational (9/2/05), logging a 17:37.45 for a 29th place finish... completed the Iona Meet of Champions (9/24/05) in 27:22.80...
2005 Outdoor: Qualified for the Metropolitan Championships (4/16/05) in the steeple chase, where he finished in seventh at 10:31.14... finished 14th in the 5K at the MAAC Championships (5/7/05), with a time of 16:33.61... he ran the 5K at Princeton’s Sam Howell Invitational (4/9/05), finishing in 15:22.68.
2004-05 Indoor: At the MAAC Championships (2/18/05), he showed a vast improvement from his performance earlier in the season at Army’s Black Knight Invitational (1/15/05)... at Army he logged a 13th place finish in the 3K with a time of 9:23.15... at the MAAC’s, he posted a ninth place performance in the 3000m (8:52.81).
2004 Cross Country: At the Boston University Invitational (9/10/04) he placed seventh (26:55)... completed the Paul Short Invitational (9/25/04) in 29:20.25 for a 241st place finish... placed 78th (28:00.7) at the Metropolitan Championships (10/1/04)... captured a 12th place finish running a 5K in 17:09.9 at the Manhattan/Iona Invitational (10/15/04)... finished 81st (29:19.11) at the MAAC Championships (10/30/04).
Before Manhattan: Broke many Beacon High School records including, the cross country course record (5K), Indoor Track 600m, 1000m, 1500m, Mile, 4x800m, Outdoor Track 5K, 3K, and Steeplechase... All-League... All-County... competed at the Indoor State Championships in the 1600m and ran at Nationals in the 5K finishing 17th out of 34 runners... a member of the National Honor Society... graduated in the top 5% of his class.
Personal: Majoring in physical education... born on May 14, 1986... son of Terri-Ann and Brian McElhoney... two siblings, Spenser and twin brother Kyle.
