2006 Outdoor: Helped tip the balance of the meet toward Manhattan’s favor on the second day of the MAAC Championships (5/7/06) by earning the MAAC crown in both the 200m (21.81s) and 400m (48.45s) dashes... he was named the MAAC Men’s Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet for running events as his points proved very valuable in helping the Jaspers claim their ninth straight conference team title... qualified for the Metropolitan Championships in both the 200m and 400m dashes... produced his best 200m time of the season at the UNLV Invite (4/1/06) by claiming second place with a mark of 21.62s... opened the season at Army’s Dick Shea Open (3/24/06) with a time of 51.07s in the 200m, but would trim more than a second off of that time by the Yale Springtime Invitational (4/30/06).
2005-06 Indoor: Despite not following an organized training program for the sixth months prior to his arrival at Manhattan, he was able to make an early impact in his first season as a Jasper... at the MAAC Championships (2/17/06), he claimed third place in the 400m dash with a time of 50.11s... in his first competition with Manhattan, he ran the 400m dash at Albany’s Great Dane Classic, finishing in 50.20s... he logged a time of 50.38s in the 400m dash at the Metropolitan Championships (2/5/06), while also competing in the 200m dash.
Before Manhattan: Transferred to Riverdale after spending two years at the University of Rhode Island, where he helped set several school records... as a sophomore (2005) at URI, he took second place at the New England Championships in the 200m, as well as the Atlantic 10 Championships... in 2005, he also was a member of the 4x200 outdoor relay team which set the new school record at the Penn Relays with a time of 1:25.31, besting the previous record of 1:25.94 that stood for ten years... as a freshman he set new school records as a member of the 4x100 relay team (41.00s) and 4x400 relay team (3:09.70)... during his high school days at Bethlehem Central he set the school record in the 400m dash, finishing fourth in New York State... he also set the school’s 4x400 relay record along with former Jasper and high school teammate Doug DeMarco.
Personal: Son of Jacqueline Williams... has three sisters and one brother... majoring in Communications... born on January 19, 1984.
