Manhattan Hosts Vermont In 2019 Season Opener

Riverdale, NY – Manhattan women's lacrosse ignites its 23rd season at the Division I level on Monday, February 18 when it welcomes Vermont to the friendly confines of Gaelic Park at 11:00 am.

Fans who are unable to make it to the game can watch the action live on the Jasper Sports Network and follow the action with live statistics, courtesy of the athletic department.

HOME ON THE RANGE
  • The Jaspers begin their campaign at home for the second time in three years after hitting the road for the season's lidlifter from 2010-2016.
  • Five of Manhattan's eight non-conference games take place in the Bronx.

FOURTH TIME'S A CHARM?
  • Kaishian enters her final season having earned back-to-back All-MAAC Second Team Defense honors.
  • Including her 2016 All-MAAC Rookie selection, the Yorktown, NY native is the first Jasper since Megan Yarusso to garner postseason recognition after three seasons.
  • According to the MAAC's online archives, no Manhattan student-athlete has earned All-MAAC honors for all four years.

2019 SCHEDULE
  • The J's will take on six different conferences in the 2019 season, with opponents combining for 111 wins and two NCAA Tournament appearances a season ago.
  • Twelve of the 16 games are in the Empire State, and the second game of the year is the only tilt outside the tri-state area.
