Manhattan Places Third At Monmouth Invitational

Manhattan Golf capped off a productive Monday afternoon with a third place finish in a six-team field at the Monmouth Invitational.
 
The Jaspers carded a collective 299 in the one-round event. Senior Ryan Lynch (Boynton Beach, FL / Park Vista) shot a 72 (+1) to lead Manhattan and finished tied for seventh individually.
 
Sophomore Preston Shortell (Oxford, CT / Holy Cross) recorded a 74 to finish tied for tenth. Seniors Johnny Schob (Huntington, NY / Salisbury School), Charles Seward (Tampa, FL / Freedom) and Jon Keyes (Bayport, NY / Bayport-Blue Point) hit 76, 77 and 78, respectively.
 
Fairleigh Dickinson won the invitational with a total score of 292. Monmouth's Glen-Michael Mihavetz and FDU's Patrick Brennan paced the crowd by carding a 69 (-2) on the round.
 
Manhattan returns to action on Monday, September 25 when it hosts the Father Hill Invitational in Huntington, NY.
