Manhattan Completes Day One of Tuxedo Autumn Invitational

Golf Completes Regular Season at Peacock Invitational

NESHANIC TOWNSHIP, N.J. – In their final regular season event of the 2012-13 season, the Manhattan men's golf team placed 11th at the Metro Honda Peacocks Invitational. The one-day event took place at Neshanic Golf Club with 12 teams and more than 60 golfers participating.

The Jaspers were led by Jonathan Feuer and Mike Schutsky who each shot an 81 to tie for 39th place. Both golfers sank par putts on their final two holes of the day to secure the top-40 finish. Chris Calabro was right behind his teammates with a 10-over 82 to tie for 43rd overall.

Paul Toohey used a strong back nine, including back-to-back birdies, to finish with an 84 after shooting a 48 on the front side. Freshman Ross Ketner also participated, tying for 55th after a round of 86. In total, the Jaspers were 11th out of 12 teams with a total score of 328, ten strokes ahead of St. Francis (NY).

Manhattan will finish up their season with a trip to Disney's Palm Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships. The three-day tournament begins on Fri. April 26 and continues throughout the weekend.
