RIVERDALE, N.Y. - In their final tournament of the fall season, the Manhattan men's golf team placed 8th in the Barnabas Health Intercollegiate. Four of the Jaspers five golfers finished in a tie for 29th place in the two day event.
Senior Matthew Creamer and freshman Michael Giannico each shot 74's on day one, putting them in the top-10. However, a struggle on Monday saw both players finish with rounds of 81 for a combined score of 155.
Jonathan Feuer also suffered a setback on day two. Following a Sunday round of 75, Feuer ended his event with a nine-over 80. Meanwhile, Paul Toohey did improve upon his opening round 78 with a 77 on day two.
Mike Schutsky also competed in the event held at the Fairmount Country Club in Chatham, N.J. He finished with a combined score of 167 with rounds of 86 and 81 respectively.
As a team, Manhattan had a combined score of 620 tying with host school Seton Hall for eighth place. The Jaspers finish their fall season with three top-10 finishes including a team championship at the Nyack College Fall Classic.
