RIVERDALE, N.Y.- Building momentum after Tuesday's dual match victory over Saint Peter's, the Manhattan men's golf team finished fourth out of 14 teams at the River Hawk Invitational in Dracut, Mass.
A two-day tournament, Manhattan shot a 331 through the first round but rallied back for a 319 on the final 18 holes to finish the afternoon with a total score of 650.
Leading the way, freshman Chris Calabro compiled a two-round score of 159 (86, 73) to place eighth individually while senior Louis Perry and junior Robert Kehoe finished the tournament with totals of 164 and 167, respectively. Rounding out the 36-hole invitational, senior Anthony Dinelli shot a 168 overall with Pat Bibaud ending at 169.
Consisting of teams throughout the Greater New England area, American International College placed first with a score of 620. Westchester State University compiled a total of 636 and Godley-Beacom College finished seven strokes behind at 643 to end in second and third overall.
The Jaspers will return to action Thursday, when they head to Selinsgrove, Pa. to participate in the 2011 Susquehanna University Spring Outing. Tee-off time is set for 12 p.m.
