THE WORLDWIDE NETWORK
* The Jaspers will be playing their first game on ESPNU since dropping a hard-fought 10-3 decision to Johns Hopkins on March 9, 2011.
LAST TIME OUT
* Manhattan posted a wire-to-wire 9-4 win over NJIT on Senior Night thanks to three goals and an assist from sophomore Parker Giarratana while freshman Brandon Grinnell had two goals and an assist.
* Defensively, Michael Zingaro notched his third career win over the Highlanders thanks to recording eight saves and yielding just four goals.

HAT TRICK GIARRATANA
* Giarratana notched his sixth hat trick of the year in the victory over NJIT and ranks fourth in the MAAC with 29 goals (2.23/game) and 39 points (3.0/game).
EIGHT YEARS TO THE DAY
* The four goals allowed were the fewest allowed by the Jaspers since besting Providence by a 5-4 count on April 22, 2009.

* Manhattan leads the MAAC and ranks 14th with 12.23 saves per game and 18th with 30.0 ground balls each time out.
* Zingaro is 10th in the nation and first in the MAAC with 12.0 saves each time out while junior Joseph Bressingham also paces the circuit and 18th in the NCAA ranks with 6.0 ground balls each time out.
* Bressingham is also third in the league and 39th in the MAAC with a .517 face-off percentage.
GRINNELL NAMED MAAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
* Grinnell became the second Jasper to be named MAAC Rookie of the Week after scoring three goals with an assist and three ground balls over two games against Delaware and UMass Lowell.
* On the year, Grinnell has 12 goals, eight assists and 20 ground balls and is the second Jasper to take home Rookie of the Week honors this year.
PELLETIER NAMED MAAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
* Freshman Trevor Pelletier earned his MAAC Rookie of the Week honors after scoring four goals with two assists over his first two collegiate matches.
* The Miami native opened his career with a goal and an assist against Bryant before scoring three goals with an assist in Manhattan's thrilling 14-13 triple-overtime win against Wagner.
* On the year, Pelletier has 14 goals, five assists and 10 ground balls.
ROSTER BREAKDOWN
* The Jaspers 41-man roster is comprised of five seniors, seven juniors, 13 sophomores and 16 freshmen.
THE NEWCOMERS ...
* Have combined for 62 of Manhattan's 115 goals and 43 of its 66 assists this year.
* Six of the top eight Jasper scorers are freshmen.
SCOUTING MONMOUTH
* The Hawks have won eight-straight games
* Monmouth is led by the duo of Bryce Wasserman (25 goals, 11 assists) and Tyler Keen (23 goals, 2 assists).
* The Hawks have not allowed an opponent to record double-figures in goals in each of the last 10 games.
IN MANHATTAN'S FIRST TWO VICTORIES ...
* Giarratanta netted the game-winning goals in 14-13 overtime victories of Wagner and Hartford.
YEAH, IT FEELS GOOD
* Manhattan's win over Hartford avenged a 12-point setback to the Hawks a year ago after also defeating a Wagner team that bested the Jaspers by seven goals last season.
RING THE BELL
* Flannery was among a group of people invited to help ring the opening bell for the Nasdaq Stock Exchange as part of the One Love Foundation. The One Love Foundation was celebrating reaching over 100,000 people with their Escalation Workshop -- a training program that details warning signs of relationship abuse and how to handle them. GIARRATANA TABBED PRESEASON ALL-MAAC
* Giarratana, last year's MAAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-MAAC selection, was tabbed Preseason All-MAAC while Manhattan was selected to finish seventh.
LUCKY NUMBER NINE
* Last Saturday's win over NJIT was the Jaspers' school-record ninth home match.

2002 MAAC CHAMPIONS RECOGNIZED
* The Jaspers' 2002 Men's Lacrosse Team, which won the lone MAAC Championship in program history, will be recognized at halftime of last Saturday's game against Quinnipiac. For the complete photo gallery click HERE.
IN 2002 …
* Manhattan rolled to a perfect 7-0 league record before besting Saint Joseph's in the first round of the MAAC Tournament and Mount St. Mary's in the Championship before dropping a hard-fought contest to Georgetown in the NCAA Tournament.
TANNER INDUCTED TO HALL OF FAME
* Eugene Tanner, '05 was inducted into the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame this past winter. Tanner is the Jaspers' all-time leader in assists (89) and points (186), while his 98 career goals are second-most all-time. Tanner also was selected to the MAAC'S 35th Anniversary Second Team this past summer.
