Riverdale, NY - Manhattan (12-14; 9-8 MAAC) will face Saint Peter's (12-15; 10-8 MAAC) for the second time in less than a week on Tuesday, February 23 with opening tip slated for 8:00 pm.

TOP STORYLINES 
#1 - In the teams' last match-up, the Jaspers nearly overcame a late eight-point deficit before dropping a 70-69 decision.

#2 - Manhattan is 24-9 over the last three years in the months of February/March and 32-13 since the start of the 2012-2013 season.

#3 - The Jaspers will be looking for their second-straight victory after besting Quinnipiac 63-59 to conclude a four-game road trip.

* Senior Shane Richards fueled the win with a game-high 21 points, fueled by four threes, while becoming just the fifth MAAC player to hit for 300 in a career.

* Masiello, who holds a career record of 91-67 (58-35 MAAC) set the school-record for MAAC Tourney wins a year ago with his eighth against Iona while breaking ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla's previous Manhattan mark.

* In his career, Masiello is 10-1 against Saint Peter's and 66-38 (.635), all-time, against MAAC teams, including going 35-11 (.761) at home and 23-25 (.479) on the road.

* Manhattan is 9-6 in MAAC play since the 2016 calender year and an identical 9-6 in MAAC games decided by 10 points or less, highlighted by three wins when trailing with less than five minutes to play.

* This season, opposing three-point shooters are converting on 37.7 percent (84-of-223) in the first half compared to a scant 30.4 percent (62-of-204) after halftime.

* Manhattan has won 11 of its last 18 games thanks to averaging 71.7 ppg while shooting 44.9 percent from the floor, including 39.1 percent from long range, and 76.7 percent from the line.

* In the win over Morgan State, Richards converted a career-high seven three pointers en route to registering 28 points with seven caroms.

* A 2015-2016 All-MAAC Preseason Second Team selection, Richards was the hero in the first win of the year, a 69-67 come-from-behind triumph over George Mason, thanks to banking in a jumper with 1.2 seconds to play after earlier becoming the 37th member of the school's 1,000-point club. He recently passed former teammate Emmy Andujar for 10th place and currently has 1,400 points.

* From long range, Richards has converted at least three triples in 61 of his 124 games - including at least four 34 times - and is the school's single-season (92-2015) and career (302) leader in threes. When he connects on four in a game, Manhattan is 24-10, including 18-7 over the last three seasons.

* Junior Rich Williams hit for double-digits (14 points) for the 20th time this season in the win at Quinnipiac and ranks among the MAAC leaders in scoring (14.6 ppg-14th), rebounding (5.9 rpg-13th), 3-PT FG % (.366-13th), FT % (.788-13th) and defensive boards (4.6 drpg-7th).

* The duo of Richards and Williams became the first set of Jasper teammates to each notch 20 points in a game this year in the win at Morgan State and are averaging a combined 32.3 points per game (4th MAAC).

* Williams had his fifth 20-point performance with an even 20 at Monmouth, while combing with Crawford (22) to help fuel a season-high 47-points from the bench.

* In the series sweep against Quinnipiac, Williams averaged 16.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg after notching his third career double-double (19 points, 11 rebounds) in the win at Canisius with a career-high five assists.

* He has paced the squad in scoring on five occasions and on the glass a team-high 12 times while improving both his scoring (+9.1 ppg) and rebounding (+4.4) numbers from a year ago.

* Williams had his second double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds) in the win over Morgan State after registering his first against Columbia (17 points, 11 rebounds) and scored a career-high 26 in the victory over George Mason.

* In the backcourt, senior RaShawn Stores has a MAAC-leading 2.2 assist/turnover ratio and is fourth with a 41.1 percent (37-of-90) conversion rate from long range while also averaging 8.3 points, 3.0 assists (11th MAAC) and 1.3 steals (13th MAAC) per game.

* Stores hit for a career-high matching 18 points in the win at Marist after scoring 18 points in the first meeting with the Red Foxes and has notched double-figures in the scoring column eight times.

* Stores has closed out wins at Quinnipiac with four-straight free throws over the final 7.1 seconds, at Marist with six-straight free throws in the final 1:14 and Niagara with four free throws over the final 11.9 seconds.

* This season, Stores (22-of-25) & Richards (25-of-27) are making good on 90.4 percent (47-of-52) on from the line in the last five minutes of 10-point games.

* Stores, a 2015-2016 All-MAAC Preseason Third Team selection, is shooting 40.8 percent (69-of-169) on threes after halftime for his career, including making good on 43.1 percent (44-of-102) since the start of last year. Stores also has a 3.1 assist/turnover ratio (77 assists/25 TO) over the last two years in the second half.

* Manhattan is 47-26 over the last three years when Stores, who was granted an extra year of eligibility on July 22, 2015 by the NCAA, starts including going 17-8 last year.

* Both Richards & Stores are the only MAAC student-athletes to have played in the last three MAAC title games and have been a part of 70 total wins, including going 8-1 during MAAC Tournament play.

* Junior Tyler Wilson, who helped energize the Jaspers' back-to-back 90-point performances in early January has registered a career-high 10 assists twice this season, including most recently in the victory at Morgan State.

* Wilson, who has led Manhattan in assists 21 times this season, also dished out 10, against one turnover, vs. Marist. His performance against the Red Foxes was the first double-figure outing by a Jasper student-athlete since Von Damien Green had 10 against Saint Peter's on January 30, 2002.

* On the year, Wilson has handed out at least six assists on 14 occasions is second in the MAAC and 42nd nationally (5.3 apg) while also ranking among the league leaders in steals (1.5 spg-2nd) and assist-turnover ratio (1.9-4th).

* In the first match-up with Saint Peter's, the Jaspers dropped one-point decision despite sophomore Calvin Crawford's first career double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) and 18 points from classmate Zane Waterman.

* Crawford's performance came on the heels of a career-high 22-point performance at Monmouth after notching 20 points and eight rebounds at Marist.

* He has now hit for at least 20 points three times and is averaging 15.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg and 2.0 bpg while shooting 57.4 percent (31-of-54) from the field.

* Crawford, who has scored in double-figures in five-of-six and 10 times in 17 games this season, is averaging 11.2 ppg and 4.6 rpg while shooting 50.0 percent from the field.

* Also over his last five games, Waterman is averaging 13.0 ppg and 7.8 rpg while shooting 53.2 percent (25-of-47) from the floor.

* He scored 13 points with 12 rebounds in notching his second-straight double-double and the third of the season in the win at Marist.

* Waterman has scored in double-figures in 12 of his last 16 and is averaging 12.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game during that time while shooting 51.1 percent (70-of-137) from the floor.

* He had his first double-double with 12 points and a career-high 13 caroms in the win over Siena after going for a career-high 23 points at EKU and has scored in double-digits 14 times with four double-figure rebounding performances.

* Waterman, who scored 22 points against Columbia, ranks among the league leaders in scoring (11.3 ppg-27th), rebounding (6.2 rpg-10th), FG % (.498-7th), offensive boards (2.0 orpg-12th) and defensive boards (4.0 drpg-12th).

* Since returning to Riverdale, Masiello has led the Jaspers to a pair of MAAC Titles as well as a pair of 20-plus win campaigns. In his first tenure, he was a part of two MAAC Championships and three 20-plus win seasons. All told, Masiello has been a member of four of the five Manhattan MAAC Championship teams and five of the Jaspers' 12 20-win seasons in accruing a 174-103 record.

* In his 20th season as either a player or a coach, Masiello has a career collegiate record of 452-213, including 331-185 on the sidelines, with one National Title, two National Championship appearances, two Final Four appearances, six Elite Eight berths, eight conference championships, 13 NCAA Tournament appearances and 15 20-win seasons.

KEY MANHATTAN MATCH-UPS
The Sophomore Class - In the teams' first meeting, Crawford and Waterman combined for 33 points and 19 rebounds before notching just nine points and seven rebounds at Quinnipiac. For Manhattan to be success the pair has got to provide punch down low.
The Offensive Glass - Over the last two games, the Jaspers have recorded just seven offensive rebounds and four second-chance points and will need to do a better job in both areas.
Turnovers - Manhattan turned over Saint Peter's just 12 times in the first match-up and was outscored 19-11 in points off turnovers. The Jaspers have to establish their dominance defensively on Tuesday.

Over the last three years, Manhattan is 44-5 when leading at the half, including going a perfect 15-0 a year ago, 21-7 when limiting teams to less than 40 percent shooting, 25-8 when winning the battle of the boards and 38-16 when forcing more turnovers than the opposition. Additionally, since the start of last season the Jaspers are 26-3 when leading with five minutes to play.

POWERS TO HAVE NUMBER RETIRED
Former Manhattan College student-athlete, Head Men's Basketball Coach and AD Jack Powers will become the first Jasper to have his basketball uniform number 34 retired. It will be raised to the rafters on 'Jack Powers Night,' at halftime of the Iona game at Draddy Gym on February 26, 2016.
