Biography

2009: Earned a place on the MAAC All-Academic Team for the third straight season...Split time between first base and the outfield, making 15 appearances and 11 starts...Went 2-for-3 against Green Bay in the Rebel Games on March 20...Had two hits, including a double, and scored twice, including the tying run, in the Lady Jaspers’ come-from-behind 8-7 win in the first game of a doubleheader at Army on March 24...Went 1-for-3 and drove in the eventual winning run in a 5-3 victory in the nightcap of that twinbill...Posted a .944 fielding percentage, making just one error.

2008: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for the second consecutive season...Played in 30 games, making 21 starts...Hit .222 for the season...Had two hits in the opener of a twinbill against Canisius on April 7...Belted two hits in each game of a doubleheader at Monmouth on April 8...Went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs in the first game of a doubleheader at Fordham on April 11...Delivered a pinch-hit RBI single in Manhattan’s 4-2 win over Fairfield on April 27.

2007: Selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team...Appeared in 30 games, starting 26...Belted first career home run in the second game of a doubleheader at Canisius on April 20...Went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored in game two of a twinbill against Rider on April 28...Had two hits and scored two runs in the opener of a doubleheader with Fairfield on May 5...Posted a .944 fielding percentage, committing just one error on the season.

2006: Saw action in 41 contests, starting 37 games...Belted two hits, including a double, and scored two runs in her collegiate debut at George Washington on Feb. 25...Went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored in an 8-6 win over Rhode Island at the Rebel Games on March 10...Put together a six-game hitting streak from April 30-May 6...Collected five hits in a doubleheader sweep at Saint Peter’s on April 30, including a 3-for-4 effort in the first game...Tallied three hits and knocked in five runs in a doubleheader sweep of Central Connecticut State on May 2...Drove in two runs in the first game of a doubleheader against Niagara on May 6, then had two hits in the second game.

Before Manhattan: Named Second Team All-Region and honorable mention all-state in 2005...Cactus High School won the 4A State Championship in 2003 and 2004 after a runner-up finish in 2002...Team also won three Wells Fargo Region Championships (2003-05)...Received the AIA Scholar Athlete Award.

Personal: Daughter of Candace and Greg Rector, and Don Gustafson...Has two brothers, Drew Gustafson and Jack Rector...Majoring in pre-physical therapy.
