Women’s Lacrosse Drops Home Match-Up with Quinnipiac on Senior Day

RIVERDALE, NY — Manhattan couldn't keep pace with Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats ran away with a 15-1 decision on Saturday afternoon when the Jaspers held their annual senior day ceremony.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Quinnipiac scored 10 goals in the first half to take a double-digit advantage into the locker room. 

• EllaGrace Delmond had four first-half goals while Mia Delmond added three tallies all in the opening half. 

• Less than three minutes into the third quarter, the Bobcats saw their lead surge to 12 on back to back goals from Peyton Choma. 

• The Jaspers would later end the Bobcats' scoring streak at 15 with a free position goal from Ava Fernandes at the 4:43 mark of the fourth quarter.

STATS AND NOTES

• The goaltending duties were split between Danielle Serbinski and Sophie Pasnak for Manhattan on Saturday.

• Fernandes logged her 44th career goal in the loss. 

NEXT UP

Manhattan (2-10, 1-3 MAAC) will return to the friendly confines of Gaelic Park when it hosts the Iona Gaels (5-6, 4-0) at 3 pm on Wednesday.
