Bethlehem, PA — The Paul Short Run is one of the northeast's most prestigious cross country races, and the Jaspers execution had to be razor sharp in order to put themselves in contention on Saturday. All said and done, the Manhattan harriers put in a solid day's effort despite not having their best day in the standings.
-In the Men's 8K, Junior Adrian Alonso placed 589 in the spacious field of 1,263 runners. Two other Jaspers were able to crack the top 700 with sophomore Adam Guzman taking 688th place and junior Jaxon Newton finishing in 696th place.
-In the Women's Gold 6K, freshman Mikaella Martin traversed the course on her way to 202nd place out of the 371 runners that finished. Martin has now finished with the best mark of the Manhattan women in each of her first two starts competing for the Jaspers. Martin previously won the Women's 5K at the Fordham Fiasco back on September 7th.
