Manhattan Open 2022 MAAC Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Manhattan golf team sits in ninth place on the opening day of the 2022 MAAC Championship, on Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.

The Jaspers finished the first round with a team total of 314 (+26). Iona leads after day with a team score of 287 (-1).

Colby Norton was the top finisher for the Jaspers. The senior finished T18 after posting a 75 (+3), which saw him shot an even par 36 on the back nine. Sam Taraian ended the day T33, carding a 78 (+6). Lincoln Haymaker was right behind him, T38 with a score of 80(+8).

Jimmy Escoto finished T41 after posting a round of 81(+9). Tyler Nguyen finished T44 with a score of 85 (+13).

The Jaspers return to action tomorrow in the second round of the three-day event.
