Loudonville, NY - Siena defeated Manhattan 1-0 in a double-overtime thriller on the Saints' Senior Day at Siena Field.
In defeat, the Jaspers fall to 3-8-3 and 2-5-2 in the MAAC while the Saints improve to 8-7-3 and 5-2-2 in the league.
In the 106th minute, Emily McNelis headed in Haleigh Schanz's corner kick to provide the difference in the tightly-contested match.
Sophomore
Tia Painilainen (Espoo, Finland / Arizona) had a chance to win it in regulation, but her shot was corralled by Siena's Kamryn Peffley in the 86th minute after skirting along the goal line.
Senior
Kelly DiGregorio (Centereach, NY / St. Anthony's) was fantastic in goal, making seven saves, including stopping a penalty kick in the 81st minute.
Peffley made six saves in registering in the shutout victory.

* Siena posted advantages in shots (24-10), shots on goal (8-6) and corner kicks (12-1).
* The home team has won each of the last four regular season meetings.

Nicole Copping (Blue Point, NY / Bayport-Blue Point) and
Victoria Reis (Rockville Centre, NY / South Side) and Painlainen are the lone three Jaspers to start all 14 matches.
* The last four Manhattan matches and six of its eight MAAC match-ups have been settled by 1-0 scores.
* The Jaspers also played in their sixth overtime match, including the fifth that has been decided in double overtime.
