BOSTON – The Manhattan College men's and women's track & field teams concluded competition at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships on Sunday at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.  The Jasper men ended up eighth overall in the IC4A Championships team standings, while the women's 4x800 meter relay squad added to Manhattan's team score at the ECAC Championships.

Manhattan qualified for the final in the women's 4x800 relay with a school-record 9:00.88 clocking in the preliminaries on Saturday.  In Sunday's final, the quartet of Erin Spadaccini (Wilmington, DE), Kelly Gorman (South Amboy, NJ), Victoria Cruz (West Nyack, NY) and Alexa Roda (Staten Island, NY) posted a time of 9:04.72 to finish eighth and add one point to the Jaspers' team total.

As a team, the Jaspers took 42nd at the ECAC Championships with four points, one in the 4x800 relay and three for Charlene Pohl's (Bisingen, Germany) sixth-place finish in the pentathlon.

In the men's IC4A Championships, Manhattan wound up eighth in the team standings with 28 points.

One day after finishing first and seventh in the long jump, Hayden Clarke (Townsville, Australia) and Bobby Gebhard (Saddle River, NJ) were back in action in the triple jump.  Gebhard was ninth with a leap of 14.79 meters (48 feet, 6¼ inches), while Clarke got out to 14.45 m (47'5), which was good for 10th place.  Meanwhile, Blerim Pocesta (Staten Island, NY) placed 23rd in the shot put with a toss of 14.73 m (48'4).

Pocesta will compete in the weight throw at next weekend's USA Indoor Championships, which will conclude the indoor season for Manhattan.  The men's weight throw will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in Portland, OR, site of the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
