STATEN ISLAND, NY – While most members of the Manhattan College men's and women's track & field teams are gearing up for the start of the outdoor season, a handful of Jaspers were in action at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. The event served as a final opportunity to achieve qualifying marks for the ECAC/IC4A Championships, while also giving those who've already qualified one last competition prior to next weekend's meet.
Blerim Pocesta (Staten Island, NY) won the men's weight throw with a toss of 19.23 meters (63 feet, 1¼ inches), while John Dove (Monroe, NY) qualified for the IC4A Championships in a second event. He finished third in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:28.35. Liam O'Brien (Clifton Park, NY) was sixth in the 1000 with a 2:31.68 clocking. Justin Alleyne (New Rochelle, NY) placed sixth in the 500 meters (1:05.68), and Anthony Hall (Mountainville, NY) took seventh in the 60 meters (7.05). In addition, Ryan Addlesberger (Cinnaminson, NJ) got out to 15.11 m (49'7) in the shot put, which was good for fourth place.
