South Orange, NJ (October 1, 2004)- Facing a 2-0 deficit, Manhattan took Seton Hall to the limit in the third game, but could not move ahead, and the Pirates ultimately took the match in three games (30-25, 30-11, 31-29). Shawn McDonald led the Seton Hall attack by posting a double-double with 37 assists and a match-high 11 digs.
Seton Hall hit for a scorching .483 percentage in the second game, while only committing two attack errors. Alex Dyer led the Pirates with 17 kills while Shawn Mahmoudi had nine kills, five digs and five block assists.
Maggie Pfeifer led the Lady Jaspers with a team-high 11 kills and three block assists.
Helena Ward and
Megan O'Dorisio both chipped in by posting identical lines of seven kills and six digs apiece.
Manhattan (4-13) will return to the court on Sunday, October 3 when the Lady Jaspers will welcome the University of Maryland-Baltimore County to Draddy Gym. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
