RIVERDALE, N.Y. — Manhattan men's lacrosse had their share of positive moments in the second half of Saturday's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference battle, but it wasn't enough to stop Siena's formidable attack. The Jaspers dropped a 12-8 decision to the Saints at Gaelic Park.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Manhattan fell into a 4-0 in the first quarter as Siena took control of the possession battle early.

The Jaspers would cut the deficit in half on second-quarter goals from Scott O'Connor and Kelly DuPree. Manhattan trailed 4-2 with 7:44 left in the second quarter.

However, Siena stayed hot, taking a 7-3 lead into the locker room at halftime. Jack Miller delivered the final strike of the half for the Jaspers on an assist from DuPree.

The closest Manhattan would get was an 8-5 deficit following two more goals for DuPree.

Manhattan would outscore Siena 3-1 in the fourth quarter on two more goals from O'Connor and one from Aiden Kane.

Siena had the final word with a rip from Travis Fry with 1:11 left.

DuPree added two assists to finish with five points while O'Connor ended his day with an assist and four points.
