WASHINGTON, DC — Manhattan fell behind early on Sunday and couldn't catch up, dropping its final match-up up the weekend to the he UAlbany Great Danes (3-11, 0-0 America East). The Jaspers picked up its first win of the season on Saturday by a 3-2 margin over George Washington.
HOW IT HAPPENED

UAlbany's Caitlyn Frederick singled off Karissa Spring to start off the second inning, and then stole second to give the Great Danes a runner in scoring position. UAlbany would convert off a single from Charlotte Lomb to take a 1-0 lead.

Sophia Kiseloski mustered Manhattan's first hit in the bottom of the fourth.

The Great Danes brought four more runs across in the fifth inning. Manhattan's lone threat in the bottom of the frame was a base hit for Kalyn Markel before the Jaspers were retired.

Manhattan scraped across its two runs in the seventh on sac flies from Jamie Falotico and Victoria Diaz.

Sophomore Karissa Spring went 4.2 innings while giving up five runs on seven hits and collecting four strikeouts.

Sophia Kiseloski, Michayla Rodriguez and Anissa Villalobos each recorded a hit for the Jaspers.
