BOSTON, MA — Manhattan authored its latest chapter on the track and in the field events on Saturday and Sunday at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Boston University. Graduate thrower Paul Brennan showed out by taking first place in the Men's Weight Throw while senior sprinter Darion Lopez continued his torrid stretch with a first-place performance in the 60m dash and a third-place showing in the 200m race.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

On Day 1, Brennan dazzled in the Men's Weight Throw by firing a score of 20.15m, beating out Rhode Island's Alexander Baez (19.77m).

Brennan competed in the Men's Shot Put on Day 2 and registered fifth place (15.23m)

Lopez took second place in the Men's 60m prelims surging past the finish line 6.92. He backed that up with a new school record in the 60m semis, churning out a time of 6.84.

Lopez executed his goals on Sunday by taking first place in the 60m finals (6.85).

In the Men's 200m, Lopez broke his school record twice, clocking in at 21.37 in Saturday's prelims before notching a time of 21.34 in the finals, good for third place.

In the Men's High Jump, Ivan Lytovchenko snagged second place with a mark of 2.04m, losing on the tiebreaker to Rhode Island's Matthew Santy.

In the Men's Long Jump, Manhattan was well-represented with Alex Bilello (6.63m) and Thomas Dubnov Raz (6.63m) finishing seventh and eighth place, respectively.

Brennan, Lopez, Bilello and Dubnov Raz all garnered All-East recognition.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

In Sunday's Women's Triple Jump finals, Makayla Dorvil notched eighth place and posted a personal record of 11.32m.

Martina Martinez matched her season's best in the Women's 400m race with a time of 59.24.

In the Women's Mile prelims, Kylie Conroy notched a season's best 5:12.78.

Dorvil garnered All-East recognition.

NEXT TIME OUT
The Jaspers' performances at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships concludes the indoor season. Manhattan will return to the track for the outdoor season from March 21-22 when it competes at the Hurricane Invite hosted by University of Miami.
