GENEVA, OH — The Manhattan Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams wrapped up competition at the MAAC Championships which ran from Wednesday through Saturday at SPIRE Academy.
Senior Joe Brennan set a bevy of season bests in the 50-Yard Free, the 50-Yard Breast, the 100-Yard Breast and the 200-Yard Breast. Brennan's time of 54.67 seconds in the 100-Yard Breast Finals on Day 3 earned him 5th place in the event.
Freshman Lucien Zens set a string of personal bests in the 200-Yard Free, 500-Yard Free and the 1650-Yard Free. His performance in the 1650-Yard Free Timed Finals saw a 49.08-second improvement for a new individual high of 18:10.97.
On Day 2 of the MAAC Championships, Jaila Williamson of the Manhattan Women's Swimming & Diving set a pair of school records in the 50-Yard Freestyle event en route to a 9th place finish in the finals. Williamson tapped the wall at 23.85 seconds in the finals to highlight her monumental performance. Before Williamson, the 50-Yard Freestyle school record belonged to Toni Segmuller who swam a 24.73 back in 2022.
