How They Got Here

Following their win against Wagner, the Jaspers (6-8, 6-3 MAAC) clinched the third seed in the MAAC Tournament, which will pin them against a 9-4, 5-4 MAAC Bobcat squad. The Jaspers' top offensive performer is two-time MAAC Offensive Player of The Week, Kyle Gucwa, with 33 goals and 26 assists.

The Jaspers last played against Quinnipiac earlier this season on March 27. The home game resulted in a win for the Jaspers, marking their second win of what would soon become a four-game winning streak in the 2024 season.

Following a slow first quarter for the Jaspers, they took back control of the game in the second quarter, turning it around on the Bobcats with a 5-2 quarter. The first two goals of the quarter were both scored by Jaspers, the first by Kelly DuPree, and the second, a man-up goal, by James Basile

In the second half, the Jaspers rained down goals on the Bobcats, outscoring them 6-2 in the third quarter. Kyle Gucwa broke the tie for the Jaspers with an unassisted goal at 14:24, putting them up 8-7. The Jaspers eventually won the game 15-12.

The Opponent

Quinnipiac will be coming into this match after losing 10-9 to LIU this past weekend. The Bobcats' top offensive performer for the season is Ryan Donnery with 27 goals and 27 assists.

Up Next

With a win on Saturday, the Jaspers would be the highest remaining seed (by a full-time member) left and would host the semifinals that will be played on Thursday, May 2 and the championship game on Saturday, May 4.
