RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan softball team returns home to Gaelic Park to take on conference foe Rider in a three-game series this weekend. Manhattan enters the weekend 4-25 (1-5 MAAC).
Schedule: The Jaspers and Broncs will play a doubleheader on Friday, April 5th beginning at 1 p.m. before playing the final game on Saturday, April 6th at 3 p.m.
Last Week: Manhattan is coming off a three game series with Iona, dropping three close games by scores of 2-4, 5-6, and 3-4.
Rider: Rider enters this week 9-18 (2-1 MAAC), coming off of a 2-1 series win vs Canisius. Manhattan leads the all-time series with Rider 21-11, including 14-2 all-time at home. Rider took a 4-1 victory in the last game the teams played on April 16th, 2023.
Leaders: Lindsey Hoag has been leading the Jaspers offense this season, batting .278 with one home run and nine RBI. Maddy Weir leads the team with three home runs, while batting .264 with eight RBI. Mollie Charest leads the staff with 49.2 innings pitched, and has struck out a team high 52 batters.
