Jaspers Prepare for Colorado Classic

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan Softball team will play in their second early season tournament this weekend with a trip out west to participate in the Colorado Classic. The Jaspers will be in Colorado for three days, playing a combined five games against Colorado State and Northern Colorado.

Manhattan will kick off their trip on Friday, March 1st with a double header vs Northern Colorado, starting at 2:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. ET).

Saturday they will play another doubleheader against Colorado State starting at 12:00 p.m. (10 a.m. ET).

Sunday will be the Jaspers last game of the classic, as they take on Northern Colorado one more time for a single game at 12:00 p.m. (10 a.m. ET).

Colorado State: The Rams have started the season off 7-8, but are currently on a five-game losing streak. This will be the first ever meeting between Manhattan and Colorado State.

Northern Colorado: The Bears have started the season off 4-10, after having won the Big Sky Championship in 2023. This will be the first ever meeting between Manhattan and Northern Colorado.

Leaders: Gabriella Mazzotta and Kristyn Smith both come in, batting .333, after the Jaspers' trip to Jacksonville. Sophia Kiseloski leads the staff, sporting a 2.00 ERA in two appearances thus far.
