RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Jaspers begin their three-game home stay with LIU, followed by La Salle University later in the week.
Manhattan (0-2) returns home this week to host two games, the first against LIU (0-2) on Wednesday, followed by La Salle (1-0) on Saturday. The Sharks have the same 0-2 record as the Jaspers, which will make this matchup the breaker of one team's losing streak. The Sharks most recently went up against UMass Lowell, dropping the game 14-10. In this high-scoring game, the Sharks saw a diverse range of scorers, with a total of seven different players finding the back of the UMass net.
Manhattan and LIU have met three times over the years, winning two of the three games. Currently, against the Sharks, the Jaspers are on a two-game winning streak. The Jaspers and Sharks last met the previous season, defeating the Sharks 8-5.
Later in the week, the Jaspers take on La Salle University on Saturday. The Explorers and Jaspers have met each other five times on the field. The Jaspers are currently on a three-game winning streak against the Explorers. The last time the two teams met was in March 2022, where the Jaspers edged the Explorers by two goals, closing the game out at 10-8.
The game against LIU will take place this Wednesday, February 21, at 3:00 P.M. The matchup against La Salle will take place later in the week on Saturday, February 24, at 1:00 P.M.
