Jaspers Prepare for Week on The Road
Women's Volleyball

Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday September 20th – 24th
Newark, N.J., Buffalo, N.Y., and Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Times: 6:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., and 1:00p.m. 

The Manhattan women's volleyball team will head back on the road to New Jersey to face the New Jersey Institute of Technology this Wednesday for a non-conference match. This match will be followed by games against Canisius College and Niagara University over the weekend.
 
NJIT: The Jaspers last faced the Highlanders last season, losing 3-0. The Jaspers and the Highlanders are currently tied at 6 in their head-to-head matchups. The Highlanders are currently 5-8 for the season and have been on a four-game losing streak. Their most recent matchup was against the University of Pennsylvania, where they lost 1-3.
 
Canisius: The Jaspers will then return to MAAC play, facing the Griffins. The Jaspers and the Griffins have a 13-26 record, with the Griffins winning the past 10 matches between them. Both the Griffins and the Jaspers have a 2-8 record for the season. However, unlike the Griffins, one of the Jaspers' wins this season comes from MAAC play.
 
Niagara: Lastly, the Jaspers will face off against the Purple Eagles on Sunday. The Jaspers and the Purple Eagles are currently tied at 21 in their head-to-head matchups. The Purple Eagles are currently 1-9 this season, most recently losing to Quinnipiac and Fairfield this past weekend.
 
Leaders: Leading the Jaspers in kills last week was freshman #16 Mikalah Curran with 19 kills against the Peacocks on Saturday. Leading the team in assists last week was Sarah Emmons with a whopping 44 assists on Wednesday against the Blue Devils. Also, last Wednesday, she picked up a team-high of 14 digs.
