The Manhattan women's soccer team will continue MAAC play on Saturday, September 16 when it travels to Buffalo to take on Canisius for a day contest at 1 p.m.
The Path: The Jaspers are coming off a draw to Siena (1-1) in their MAAC opener bringing their overall season record to 1-3-2, and starting their conference record at 0-0-1. The Jaspers are preparing for their second straight road game to begin conference play, before coming back to Riverdale for back to back home contests.
Leading the Way: Arancha Antunes, Kaylee Stowell, and Mayah Wheeler have each scored one goal apiece for the Jaspers. Margaret Brunk has made 28 saves at the goalkeeper spot after facing 37 shots.
All-Time Series: The Jaspers are 9-14-3 all-time against conference foe Canisius. However, Manhattan is 2-0-1 in the latest three renditions. The two teams last played in 2022 where the game resulted in a 1-1 draw.
Canisius: Canisius is 3-1-3 to start the season. This past week they collected a 2-0 victory vs St. Bonaventure, followed by a 3-1 road win at Saint Peter's.
