RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The final week of the regular season for Manhattan features a doubleheader at Saint Peter's and versus Quinnipiac.
Manhattan visits Saint Peter's in Jersey City on Wednesday before hosting Quinnipiac on Sunday.
The Jaspers sit at 5-11 in MAAC play and sit in ninth place in the standings. Saint Peter's is 7-9 and is in a tie for sixth, the final spot that makes the MAAC Tournament. Quinnipiac is a game back of Manhattan in 10th.
Saint Peter's sits at 28-18 overall and 7-9 in the MAAC. The Peacocks are 3-1 in their last four games, including a sweep of a doubleheader against Fairfield. Cara McNulty is hitting .372 to lead the team. Jess Forte leads Saint Peter' in slugging (.620), runs scored (38), triples (3), home runs (7), total bases (88), and stolen bases (10).
Manhattan is 19-1 in its last 20 meetings against Saint Peter's.
Quinnipiac will play Saint Peter's on Saturday before coming to Riverdale on Sunday morning. The Bobcats are 16-22 overall and 4-12 in MAAC play. Mary Fogg is the top hitter for the Bobcats with a .355 average. Fogg also leads the team in runs, hits, and total bases. Sydney Horan is 9-13 with a 2.72 ERA over 128.2 innings.
The Jaspers are 5-1 in their last six meetings with the Bobcats.
Last week for the Jaspers, Marika Deemer hit .500 and drove in three runs in a 4-1 week for the Jaspers. Deemer had an RBI at St. John's and in both games against Iona.
Sophia Kiseloski had two outstanding starts last week. The first-year Jasper tossed a pair of complete games and recorded two wins in the process. The right-hander struck out three in a nine-inning complete game against Iona.
Maddy Weir had a team-best four RBI last week. The freshman slashed .400/.563/.500 over the five games last week. Three of Weir's RBI came in game two against Iona.
