RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan women's lacrosse team hits the road to take on Marist and Quinnipiac this week.

Manhattan (6-5, 2-0 MAAC) and Marist (2-9, 0-3 MAAC) will meet in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., at Leonidoff Field at 4 p.m. The last time the Jaspers and the Red Foxes battled each other was Apr. 6 of last season, resulting in a Jaspers win, 14-12. Julianna Iovine dropped a career-high of five goals in the game.

The Red Foxes are coming into this matchup on a seven-game losing streak, most recently losing to Fairfield 20-4.

Later in the week, Manhattan will travel to Hamden, Conn., to take on Quinnipiac (5-5, MAAC 1-1) at 3 p.m. Before going up against the Jaspers, the Bobcats will face off against Fairfield on Wednesday. Last season's game against the Bobcats, just like the Red Foxes, resulted in a Jasper win, this time winning by five, 20-15.

In their most recent match, the Jaspers outscored Mount St. Mary's (2-9, MAAC 1-2) 8-3 in the first half of the game. After trailing 1-0 in the first quarter, Ashley Bonitch tied the game for the Jaspers off an assist from Iovine. This goal kicked off the Jaspers' offense, scoring the game's next eight goals. This lead would carry the Jaspers to the end of the game, never losing the lead, winning the game 11-8.

Key players of the Jaspers offense included Reagan MullinsJillian Reiner, Ava Fernandes, and Iovine, all scoring two points.

The Jaspers are second in the MAAC in ground ball pick-ups (187). Iovine and Reiner are tied in goals for the team lead with 20.
