RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Jaspers prepare for an extended stay on the road, first taking on the Merrimack Warriors this Tuesday.
Manhattan (3-3) will first go to Massachusetts to face off against Merrimack (0-6). The Warriors have lost the last six games, the most recent against Iona, this past Friday. This will also be the first time the Jaspers and the Warriors ever faced off against each other.
The Jaspers will be coming into this game off back-to-back losses at home against the Lindenwood and Columbia Lions. In last week's game against Columbia, the Jaspers trailed for the entire game but made a comeback in the fourth, scoring four goals, to bring the game within two. However, the comeback came too late, and they ultimately lost the match. Leading the comeback charge for the Jaspers was Jillian Reiner, who picked up a hat-trick with two goals in the fourth.
In their most recent match, the Jaspers battled Lindenwood (2-3) this past Sunday at home in Gaelic Park. The Jaspers suffered another loss at home, dropping the match against Lindenwood 20-5. Julianna Iovine scored two of the Jaspers' five goals, dishing out one assist and picking up two ground balls.
