Men's Swim & Dive Team Finishes 13th at the ECAC Championships

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The men's swimming and diving team finished the final day of the ECAC Championships, placing 13th with 71 points.

"A great meet for us. Most swimmers achieved seasonal or lifetime best times in their events", said head coach Eric Rasmussen, Jr.
 
In the preliminaries, Andrew Lebak qualified for the 200-yard backstroke final in the B group, finishing the race in 1:57.69. In team events, the men finished 14th in the 400-yard freestyle relay, touching the wall at 3:17.59. Making up the team for the men was Lebak, Joe Brennan, Jonathan Carsen, and Abelardo Cartagena.
 
In the finals, Lebak finished 15th in the 200-yard backstroke event with the B group at 1:58.88, slightly slower than his prelim time. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Men finished 12th with the B group. Deiss swam the anchor league and touched the wall for the men at 3:13.29, 4.3 seconds faster than their prelim.
 
The U.S. Naval Academy won the championship with 814.5 points.
