The Manhattan women's soccer team will continue MAAC play on Wednesday, October 4, when it travels to New Rochelle, for an afternoon contest with Iona.Â
The Path: The Jaspers are coming off of their first loss of conference play, a 1-0 defeat to Marist. Prior to that, Manhattan captured a 1-0 victory against Mount St. Mary's. Manhattan is now 2-4-3 overall, and 1-1-2 in conference play for the 2023 season.
Leading the Way: Arancha Antunes, Kaitlyn Cooke, Sami Derrico, Kaylee Stowell, and Mayah Wheeler have each scored one goal apiece for the Jaspers. Margaret Brunk has made 40 saves at the goalkeeper spot after facing 52 shots.Â
All-Time Series: Manhattan is 18-7-2 all time against Iona, including a three-game active winning streak, and a 7-0-1 mark in their last eight matchups. Manhattan took a 1-0 victory in their most recent matchup in the 2022 season.Â
Iona: Iona is 1-10-1 to start the season, including 0-2-1 in conference play. This past week they played two road games, taking a 3-0 loss at Penn and a 3-0 loss at Canisius.
