RIVERDALE, N.Y. –The Jaspers fell to Quinnipiac today in Hamden, Conn. The final set scores were 13-25, 20-25, and 15-25.

The Jaspers lost all three sets today against the Bobcats, coming closest in the second set, scoring within five points.

After dropping the first set by 12 points, the Jaspers attempted to make a comeback in the second set. The Jaspers opened the set by scoring the first three points, blitzing the Bobcats' defense. The Jaspers continued to widen their lead as the set progressed, thwarting any Bobcat advance. The Bobcats would eventually catch up to the Jaspers after firing off a four-point run. This was met by a run of equal length from the Jaspers, but it was too late at this point. With victory in sight for the Bobcats, they were able to finish out the set, defeating the Jaspers.

The final set saw the Jaspers fall behind early, allowing the Stags to gain a five-point lead.

Leading the Jaspers tonight was Laila Glover, tallying seven kills for the Jaspers. Sarah Emmons led the Jaspers in assists today, setting up 16 for her teammates.

Manhattan will return to action on Saturday, October 14th, at 3:00 p.m. to face Iona University in Riverdale, N.Y.
