RIVERDALE, N.Y. – This Thursday, the men's lacrosse team competes in the opening round of the MAAC Championship. The women's lacrosse team faces top-seed Monmouth in Albany, N.Y., on Friday in the MAAC Semifinals.
Softball plays its final four regular season games, and baseball has a full four-game schedule. The men's and women's track teams travel to Lawrenceville, N.J., for the 2022 MAAC Championships.
The women's lacrosse team defeated Niagara on Saturday, 16-15, in triple overtime. Grace Lipponer scored the game-winner to advance Manhattan to the semifinals of the MAAC Championship. Lipponer scored four goals, which set a new single-season record at Manhattan, and added two assists. Ashley Gambardella made 13 saves in goal for the Jaspers.
On Sunday, the baseball team secured an 11-8 victory over Quinnipiac. Matt Padre and David Bermudez each had three RBI. Frankie Marinelli and Alfredo Delgado had a pair of RBI for the Japers.
The Manhattan softball team split its Sunday doubleheader at Niagara, 9-1 and 9-5. Marika Deemer got the start for the Jaspers and picked up her first win of the season after tossing four shutout innings. Deemer surrendered only two hits. Gabi Mills finished 3-for-4 with three RBI for Manhattan.

The Manhattan women's rowing team wrapped up the Spring Metropolitan Championships on Saturday. The 2nd Varsity 8 boat collected a third-place finish in a time of 7:55. The Varsity 8 boat came home in fourth place in 7:19.03, which was two seconds off Iona for third. The Novice 4+ boat crossed the line in a season-best time of 8:49.1 to finish in fifth.
