Manhattan University Athletics

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan men's and women's lacrosse teams continue their regular seasons with a pair of games. Softball plays four games, while baseball has a full four-game schedule. The golf team competes at the Shark Invitational this week, hosted by LIU, in Clarence, N.Y. 

The women's lacrosse team defeated Quinnipiac on Saturday, 20-15. Meghan Rodino scored the four goals for the Green and White. Grace Lipponer scored six in the game, bringing her season total to 46. 

Saturday, the men's lacrosse team defeated Siena 8-7 on the road. Kyle Gucwa and Jake Nicolosi tallied hat tricks for the Jaspers. 

The baseball team took two in their three-game series against Siena. Manhattan defeated the Saints 9-2 on Sunday in Pleasantville, N.Y., to wrap up their weekend slate. Matt Padre finished the day 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Jack Lynch drove in two and scored twice for Manhattan.

On Sunday, the Manhattan softball split a doubleheader with Quinnipiac on the road. In-game two, Megan Gillooley finished 3-for-4, with all three hits going for extra bases in the Jaspers' 11-5 win. The senior drove in one and scored twice. Lauren Rende and Jessie Rising went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Ava Metzger collected the win relief for Manhattan.
