RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan women's basketball team wraps up their non-conference schedule this Thursday at Draddy Gym when they welcome Long Island University to Riverdale for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN+, while live stats will be provided HERE. Fans who wish to attend the game in Draddy Gym may purchase tickets HERE.
These two teams met last year at LIU, with the Jaspers hooking the Sharks en route to a 61-52 win. In that game, Dee Dee Davis and Bella Nascimento registered double figures while Brazil Harvey-Carr hauled in nine rebounds.
Manhattan will take to the court in Draddy following a MAAC road loss on Monday at the hands of the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 69-55. In the game, Davis produced game-highs in points (21) and rebounds (11), while Nascimento continued her solid offensive play, posting 12 points to extend her double-figure streak to six games, dating back to the GCU Thanksgiving Classic.
The Sharks enter the contest on an eight-game losing streak, and a 2-9 record but have played a grueling schedule up to this point. LIU has dropped contests against Syracuse, Columbia, and Buffalo. Their two wins thus far came against Ohio and Hartford.
The Sharks have used a balanced offensive attack thus far, with Emaia O'Brien and Ashley Austin averaging in double-figures. Iris Mbulito has been providing seven rebounds alongside seven points.
