RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Jaspers prepare for their last two home games of the season this week.
This weekend, the Jaspers will face Quinnipiac and then Fairfield at home in Draddy Gymnasium, marking the Jaspers' last pair of home games of the 2022 season.
The last time Manhattan faced Quinnipiac was on the road, where it fell 3-0. Despite the loss, Camila Gomez had the most kills in the match, notching 14 kills. The last time Manhattan matched up against Fairfield, they also fell 3-0 early last month.
Quinnipiac (7-14) will be coming into the match off a 3-0 loss against Fairfield. However, before the match against Fairfield, Quinnipiac won their last four games, with two of them ending in sweeps.
Fairfield (19-6) will be coming to Draddy, winning the last 13 of its 14 matches. Fairfield will be Manhattan's toughest match-up of the season, with the Stags at the top of the MACC.
Leading Manhattans offense in kills has been Julia Menocal and Gomez. For assists, Julieanne McKee has been consistently setting new season highs. McKee had a season-best 39 against Marist. Leading the defense have been Sofia Lotto and Teresa Garza, who leads the team in digs.
Saturday's game will be senior day. The three seniors on the team, Menocal, McKee, and Lizzi Brown, will be honored for their time as Jaspers before the game against Quinnipiac.
