Jaspers to Face Stags & Gaels this Week

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Another two-match week awaits Manhattan with games at Fairfield on Wednesday and home against Iona on Saturday.
 
Last time out, the Jaspers picked up a point on Saturday with a scoreless draw against Siena. Kim Mains made two stops in goal to collect the shutout. Julia Nicholas had a pair of shots on goal for the Jaspers.
 
Fairfield saw its three-game winning streak snapped with a 3-2 loss at Quinnipiac on Saturday. The Stags sit second in the MAAC at 3-1 in league play and hold an 8-3 overall record. Elle Scott and Maddy Theriault share the team lead in goals with four. Scott paces the attack with 11 points. Katie Wright has started 10 of Fairfield's 11 games in goal. The first-year Stag has a 1.14 goals against average and a .782 save percentage.
 
Iona will visit Rider on Wednesday before coming to Gaelic on Saturday. The Gaels started the year 5-0-2 and now sit at 6-3-3 overall. Iona is 1-2 in the MAAC and sits in eighth. Kedarjah Lewis leads Iona in points (12) and goals (4). Lewis shares the lead with Samantha Hogan in assists with four. Emma Havilla has started all 12 games for the Jaspers and has a 1.14 goals against average.
 
Mains continues to lead the MAAC in goals against average. The senior has allowed only four goals over seven games for a .571 GAA. Across Division I, Mains is 32nd in GAA. The Jasper keeper is second in the MAAC in save percentage at .826. Drew Camp of Mount St. Mary's paces the MAAC in save percentage.
