New Rochelle, NY - Freshman Amrit Arora scored in the 35th minute to lift Manhattan to a 1-0 win over Iona in MAAC action at Mazzella Field.

* With the victory, the Jaspers improve to 6-2-0 and 1-1-0 in the MAAC, while the Gaels fall to 5-5-0 and 1-2-0 in the league.

* Arora's goal was the first of her career, while sophomore Reina Callahan earned her first collegiate assist on the play.

* Senior Kim Mains made eight saves, including five after halftime, in collecting her sixth victory of the season.

* Iona posted advantages in shots (16-6), shots on goal (8-2) and corner kicks (7-3).

* Manhattan will next host Quinnipiac on Wednesday, October 6 at 3:00 pm.
