New Rochelle, NY - Manhattan dropped its MAAC opener at Iona by scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-13 in the MAAC opener for each team at Hynes Center.

* The Gaels improved to 3-6, while the Jaspers fall to 0-5.

* Senior Julia Menocal paced the Green & White on offense with seven kills, while graduate student Erin Hoener added four kills and three blocks, and junior Lizzi Brown notched four kills to round out the performers.

* Defensively, junior Kelly Markowski registered a career-high 11 digs, while sophomore Ashley Chan had 10 digs with an ace.

* The Jaspers will next be in action at St. Francis Brooklyn on Tuesday, September 21 at 7:00 pm.
