Buffalo, NY - Freshman Julia Nicholas scored twice, with graduate student Sydney Harwood assisting on both scores in lifting lift Manhattan to a thrilling 2-1 win over Canisius in the MAAC opener for both teams at the Demske Sports Complex.

* Nicholas deposited the game winner in the 90th minute following a long pass from graduate Sydney Harwood on the counterattack.

* Following Nicholas' score, the Jaspers easily killed off the final 23 seconds to earn the victory.

* The Green & White is now 5-1 thanks to registering its fifth-straight victory, while the Golden Griffins fall to 0-5-2 on the young season.
