Loudonville, NY - Manhattan dropped a hard-fought 2-1 overtime decision to Siena in the Jaspers' eighth conference match.
* With the game scoreless at the end of the half, Manhattan managed to strike first only six minutes into the second half in the 51st minute.

* Senior Eve Montgomery (Abington,MA) proved to be a key play maker, dribbling down the right side of the field to cross the ball across the goal. The cross was then expertly finished by freshman forward Julia Nicholas (Avon, CT) with a shot floating over the goalie's head and into the net.Â

* After falling behind, the Saints went on the offensive but struggled to convert for the most of the night thanks to the strong play of senior keeper Kim Mains. (Harriman, NY)

* Siena finally broke the scoreless run in the 84th minute of the match when Carrie Krohn (Schoarie, NY) hit a ball off the goalpost and found the inside near-post netting of the goal.
* In extra time, Gabby DeAngelis scored off a second shot rebound following a Saints corner kick and delivered the game-winner in the 91st minute of the match.
* The Saints owned advantages in shots (19-8), shots on goal (9-3) and corner kicks (6-4).
*Â DeAngelis's goal was her first of the season.
* The Jaspers will next play at home on Saturday, October 23 against the Marist red foxes for Senior Night, opening kick at Gaelic Park tabbed for 4:00 p.m.
