Poughkeepsie, NY -
Senior Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) notched her fourth double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds) of the year, and the 18th of her career with three blocks, but it wasn't enough as Manhattan dropped a 52-44 decision to Marist at McCann Arena.

Trailing by 38-31 after three periods, the Jaspers came roaring out of the gates to start the fourth. Warley connected on a pair from the line, before senior Sini Mäkelä (Helsinki, Finland / Mäkelänrinne Sports High) drilled a three off an Emily LaPointe (So., Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) feed. Warley then converted a layup off off another LaPointe pass to draw the Green & White even at 38-38 with 6:47 remaining.

The teams would then trade baskets, before the Red Foxes reclaimed the lead with a three-point play at the 4:57 mark. LaPointe would counter with a jumper to make it a one-point game, but Manhattan was unable to draw closer as Marist created separation with seven-straight points down the stretch.

The Jaspers are now 5-4 and 5-2 in the MAAC, while the Red Foxes improve to 6-1 and 4-1 in the league.
