Riverdale, NY - Canisius rallied for a 57-56 win over Manhattan in MAAC action at Draddy Gymnasium.
The Jaspers are now 11-14 and 7-9 in the MAAC, while the Golden Griffins improve to 10-17 and 5-11 in the league.
Sophomore Warren Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) scored a team-high 13 points, and was 4-of-7 from the floor and 5-of-7 from the line, while senior Pauly Paulicap (Elmont, NY / Harcum College) added 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks.
Trailing by three early in the first half, sophomore Samir Stewart (Fort Lauderdale, FL / American Heritage) drained a three pointer, before stealing the ball on the ensuing possession and taking it coast-to-coast to give Manhattan a 12-10 lead at the 10:49 mark.

Canisius briefly answered with a three pointer, before Manhattan ripped off 11 of the next 12 points.

After halftime, Canisius was able to get back into the game thanks to limiting Manhattan to just 29.2 percent (7-of-24) shooting, and ended the game on a 25-10 run.
Majesty Brandon's two free throws with 13.3 seconds to play would prove to be the difference, while giving him a game-high 20 points on the afternoon.
Malik Johnson had six points, six assists, three rebounds and three steals, while Scott Hitchon finished with 11 points to round out the top statistical performers for the visitors.

* Williams is now averaging 17.0 ppg over four career games against Canisius, while making good on 75.0 percent (27-of-36) during that time.
* Junior Nehemiah Mack (Harrisburg, PA / Massanutten Prep (VA)) added five assists, against no turnovers, with four rebounds and three points.
* During MAAC play Mack has a 6.5 assist to turnover ratio (39 assists, 6 turnovers).
* Buchanan and Greene each finished up with seven points, while Hinckson added six points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal.
