Riverdale, NY - Manhattan women's basketball (9-13, 6-7 MAAC) will host reigning MAAC champions Quinnipiac (10-11, 8-4 MAAC) on Thursday, February 13 in Draddy Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm on ESPN+.

Last Outing
The Manhattan offense was stifled by Marist on February 8, as the Red Foxes earned a 74-53 win at the McCann Center. Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) earned a game-high 11 rebounds, moving her into 14th in program history with 608 career boards. Julie Høier (Aabyhoej, Denmark / Marselisborg Gymnasium) paced the Manhattan offense with 13 points, going 6-9 from the floor.
Good LaPointe
Emily LaPointe (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) earned her league-high sixth MAAC Rookie of the Week award on February 3. LaPointe leads the squad in scoring, averaging 12.4 points per game (13th in the MAAC). She also ranks fifth for three-pointers made (2.1 per game). LaPointe averages 30.9 minutes per game, the most of any freshman in the MAAC.
Warley Leads the Way
Warley ranks 24th in the MAAC for scoring (9.9 points per game), while ranking third in rebounding (8.3 per game). With 2.6 steals per game, she is second in the league and ranks 30th in all of Division I.
Milestone Marker
Warley now has 608 rebounds for her career, currently 14th all-time and just eight away from tying Christine Lardon (1988-92) for 13th. Warley is also 23 steals away from tying for 15th on that all-time list and one block away from 100. She currently sits in fifth on Manhattan's all-time blocks list.
Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) is four assists away from tying Joann Nwafili (2004-08) for 15th all-time and 26 away from the program's top 10. She is also 12 steals away from tying Michelle Pacheco (2006-10) at 15th on that all-time list.
With a career-high four blocks against Iona on January 25, Pamela Miceus (Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) moved into 13th all-time, surpassing Linda Bores (1980-84) and current Manhattan Athletic Director Marianne Reilly (1978-82). She now has 58 blocks for her career and is seven away from 12th place in program history.
About the Bobcats
The reigning MAAC Champions are currently fourth in the league standings with an 8-4 MAAC record. The Bobcats' recent four-game win streak was snapped on February 8 with a loss to Siena. Shaq Edwards leads Quinnipiac in scoring with 13.8 points per game, while Taylor Herd, the 2018-19 MAAC Sixth Player of the Year, adds 10. Page Warfel pulls down 10.2 points per game, ranking second in the MAAC.
Previous Meeting
The Jaspers fell to Quinnipiac 70-58 when the teams first met in Hamden on January 11. Warley scored a team-high 18 points, setting a season-best while also pulling down 13 rebounds. She tied her career high of four assists, while also adding four steals on the night. LaPointe contributed 10 points to the Jasper offense against Quinnipiac, while Høier added nine.

Quinnipiac is 13-1 against the Jaspers all-time. The Jaspers' one victory against the Bobcats came on December 6, 2015, when Manhattan beat Quinnipiac 52-42 on the road to open the 2015-16 MAAC season 2-0. Former Manhattan guard Amani Tatum paced the Jaspers with 18 points, eight of which came in the fourth quarter.
