Riverdale, NY - Manhattan trimmed an 11-point deficit to two late in the fourth period, but was unable to get any closer in dropping a 61-50 decision to Quinnipiac at Draddy Gymnasium.
The loss comes just 24 hours after Emily LaPointe's (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) game-winning putback gave the Jaspers a 71-70 overtime victory over the Bobcats.
Manhattan is now 3-2 and 3-1 in the MAAC, while Quinnipiac is 3-2 and 1-1 in the league.
After Quinnipiac opened up a 50-39 lead with 7:08 remaining, the never-say-die Jaspers went to work.
Senior Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) converted a layup off pass from LaPointe. Senior Lizahya Morgan (East Hartford, CT / Capital Preparatory Magnet) then rattled home a three off another LaPointe helper.
After facilitating on two previous Jasper field goals, LaPointe stole it and took it the length of the floor to trim it to 50-46 with 3:13 remaining.

The Bobcats would briefly quell the bleeding with a free throw, only to see Morgan drain her third three pointer of the night with 2:44 to play to cut it to 51-49.
After last night, did you really think this game wouldn't come down to the wire?

Unfortunately, that would as close as Manhattan would get as the visitors ended the game on a 10-1 run.
