Riverdale, NY - Manhattan women's basketball (7-10, 4-4 MAAC) will host MAAC-rival Iona (4-11, 3-3 MAAC) at Draddy Gymnasium on Saturday, January 25. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm on ESPN3.

Pride Day
Saturday marks the program's first Pride Day, where the Jaspers have partnered with the College's LGBTQ Student Group to honor campus inclusivity.
Last Outing
Manhattan women's basketball fell to MAAC-undefeated Fairfield 87-47 on January 23 in Alumni Hall. Freshman Emily LaPointe (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) scored a team-high 17 points on 7-11 shooting for the Jaspers, her 12th-double-figure scoring game of the year and the eighth time she has led the Jaspers in scoring. Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) contributed 10 points for the Manhattan offense, the eighth time this season she has scored 10 or more points in a game. She added four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Despite going 11-23 in the first half, the Jaspers battled an even higher shooting percentage from the Stags, who shot more than 63 percent on the other end for the first two quarters, including 6-8 from three. Fairfield's Katie Armstrong had a game-high 19 going into the locker room at halftime, going 8-10 from the floor and hitting half of the Stags' baskets from behind the arc. Armstrong finished with a career-high 27 points, while Sam Kramer added 20 for Fairfield.
Program Milestones
Against Siena on January 16, Warley surpassed Linda Bores (1980-84) for 16th on the program's all-time rebounding list. Now with 556 career-rebounds, she is 29 away from the program's top 15. Warley is also 38 steals away from 15th on that all-time list. Currently fifth on the program's all-time blocks list, she is six away from 100 for her career.
Also at Siena, Pamela Miceus (Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) jumped both Barbara Kelly (1980-81) and Lindsey Loutsenhizer (2008-12) to take 16th on the program's all-time blocks list. Now with 50 for her career, Miceus is three blocks away from tying current Athletic Director Marianne Reilly (1978-82) and Bores for 13th all-time, as well as 21 blocks from the program's top 10.
Now at 265 career assists, Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) is 12 away from tying Joann Nwafili (2004-08) for 15th all-time and 34 away from the program's top 10. She is 22 steals away from tying Michelle Pacheco (2006-10) at 15th on that all-time list.
Protect the Ball
Manhattan ranks 53rd in Division I for fewest turnovers per game (14.0). The squad ranks among the nation's top 60 for best turnover margin (3.47), good for a league-high, in addition to holding Division I's 61st-best assist/turnover ratio (1.04).
About the Gaels
Iona enters Saturday's game with MAAC wins against Quinnipiac, Monmouth and Saint Peter's. The Gaels average 51.2 points per game (11th in the league), but sink 6.8 threes per game (third in the MAAC). Shyan Mwai leads Iona with 10.8 points per game, hitting 2.1 threes per contest. Tori Lesko pulls down a team-high 5.6 rebounds per game. Juana Camillion adds 2.5 steals per game.
Previous Meeting
Manhattan defeated Iona 54-52 on February 22, 2019 to sweep the Gaels in the MAAC regular season. Kania Pollock had a team-high 12 points for Manhattan, including four in the third quarter to help the Jaspers overcome a two-point halftime deficit. She went 5-13 from the floor and 2-3 from the foul line. Courtney Warley contributed 10 points and 11 boards. She also set a career-high in steals with seven, including five in the first half.

Manhattan leads the series 50-31. The Gaels last defeated the Jaspers and last won in Draddy on January 20, 2017.
Parking Lot
Moving forward, the Draddy parking lot will be closed to fans, who are encouraged to park in the Manhattan College Parking Garage located on Manhattan College Parkway in between Broadway and Waldo Avenue.
