- Manhattan battled in a close contest, with the Griffs slipping by with the 25-20, 26-24, 25-21 victory.
- The Jaspers out-blocked Canisius 5-3, with junior middle blocker Meagan Miller (Oakville, ON / Oakville Trafalgar) nabbing a match-high three blocks.
- Teammate Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word), who added two blocks to the Manhattan defense on Sunday, earned her 200th career block in the match. She is now five blocks away from entering the program's all-time total blocks list. On Saturday, Hoener jumped into the Manhattan top 10 solo blocks list when she earned her 43rd and 44th solo blocks against Niagara.
- Sophomore hitter Vivian Donovan (Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) led the Jasper attack with 10 kills. She's put up double-digit kill totals in four of the last five matches.
- Donovan added 10 digs on the day for a double-double performance, while also contributing four service aces.
- Nashally Eleutiza (Orlando, FL / Bishop Moore) nabbed a match-high 16 digs, now averaging 5.20 digs per set in conference play.
- Hannah Nelson earned 15 kills on .452 hitting for the Canisius attack, while MAAC Preseason Player of the Year Leah Simmons added 14.
- Manhattan volleyball raised more than $3,300 for Friends of Karen, an organization that supports families who have children battling cancer. The team presented a check to Friends of Karen during the second and third sets Sunday, along with local children who have been aided by the organization.
Manhattan will host Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday, October 1 in Draddy. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
