Match Notes:
- Manhattan is 0-2 in MAAC play after losing to both Saint Peter's and Rider last weekend at home. The Jaspers lost to both teams in four sets, winning the third against the Peacocks and the second against the Broncs.
- Meagan Miller (Oakville, ON / Oakville Trafalgar) continues to lead the Jaspers' in hitting percentage, hitting .262 and ranking sixth in the league. She's produced 74 kills on the year, or 1.61 kills per set.
- Teammate Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) is hitting .257 for the season, sitting at eighth in the MAAC. With a team-high 103 kills, she's averaging 2.24 kills per set.
- Hoener also leads the team with 41 blocks on the season, ranking fifth in the conference with 0.89 blocks per set. She has 196 career blocks, just nine away from Manhattan's all-time blocking list, and 42 career solo blocks, just one away from that top 10.
- With 4.00 digs per set, Nashally Eleutiza (Orlando, FL / Monroe) ranks fifth in the MAAC. She's averaging 5.62 digs/set in MAAC play, with 45 total digs over the last two MAAC matches.
- Niagara enters Saturday's match 1-10 overall and 0-1 in MAAC play, having lost to conference rival Canisius 3-1 on September 24.
- Mary Redl is hitting .250 for the Purple Eagles, ranking ninth in the league. Teammate Cameron Maris is averaging 0.80 blocks per set, sitting the MAAC top 10 so far this season.
- Canisius is 4-9 on the season and 1-0 in the conference.
- The Golden Griffs are the league-leaders with a team hitting percentage of .192, in addition to averaging a MAAC-high 15.88 digs per set.
- Canisius' Leah Simmons, the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, is averaging 2.92 kills per set on .276 hitting
- Sunday marks a special match for the Jaspers as they hold their annual Go for Gold fundraiser benefitting Friends of Karen, an organization that provides assistance to families with a child battling cancer. Manhattan volleyball will present a check to the organization in between the second and third sets on Sunday.
